A charming "atelier d'artist" hide-away in the Latin Quarter : This bright, airy and sunny (62 sq. m.) apartment is located very near the famous rue Mouffetard (a quiet pedestrian-only street with a colorful, lively open air daily market) on the 3rd floor (no lift) of a 18th century building. It is only at a few minutes walk to Saint Michel, the Pantheon, the Sorbonne University, and Notre-Dame cathedral. It is also between two of the most popular Parisian gardens: the Luxembourg and le Jardin des Plantes. Rue Mouffetard has the feel of a small village within the city and is one of the city's oldest streets, filled with small farmer shops, cafes and restaurants.
Ideal for 3 people or a couple with 2 children (can also sleep 4 comfortably), this apartment features its own private terrace (180 sq. ft.) and charming decor, enhanced by hardwood floors in every room, French doors that lead to the terrace, it is ideal housing for a family (couple with 2 children), consists in a spacious living/room with fireplace a separate dining room, TV, table and chairs and a corner area with a desk and Internet access, a fully equipped kitchen, a small bathroom with a bath, shower, washbasin, a separated toilet, and 2 bedrooms . In the main bedroom there is a double size bed, an antique desk, an armchair and a wardrobe. In the second bedroom there is a 2 single mattress that can accommodate 2 children or one adult.
About the Neighborhood
This apartment is located very near the famous rue Mouffetard, a picturesque and typical Paris street, only a few minutes walk to Pantheon and the Jardin du Luxembourg. Sloping down it is packed with grocery shops, butchers, restaurant and cafes. You can discover old signboards, small squares and passages, a little fountain of Marie de Medicis (17th century) at the corner of the rue du Pot-de-Fer. The lower part of the Mouff', with its permanent morning market turns the street into a vibrant, colored and vivid animation. Open every day except Monday, the Mouffetard market offers a dizzying array of delicious seasonal fruit, vegetable and cheeses. You'll find many other French specialties and even some stalls carrying cloths and other items. The vendors are always cheery, enthusiastic and keen to help you choose the product that suits your tastes best. This is Hemingway's favorite neighborhood in Paris.
