Welcome to Paris Clichy - Montmartre
The apartment is located in Montmartre, home of Moulin Rouge, the Sacre Coeur and Paris' only vineyard. For years it was Paris' intellectual hub and home to Renoir, Picasso, Modgliani, Toulouse-Lautrec, the composer Berlioz and Van Gogh with his famous painting Boulevard de Clichy where the apartment is located. Today, many artists and movie stars live in the district.
This flat is situated on the first floor (one flight of stairs). The rooms are all 3.20 meters in height with real parquet floors. The large French windows are the same height as the rooms.
The bright living room is tastefully furnished with a marble fireplace. There is a large sofa, 2 armchairs, a coffee table and a stereo. The dining room has a table with chairs in front of another fireplace. There is also a couch that can be changed into a bed for two persons.
The new kitchen has been completely renovated. It is fully equipped with a stove with four ceramic fields, a microwave, an oven, and a coffee maker.
On the right of the hallway, the office room has a large cable TV with VCR and DVD players, a phone and high-speed internet access. There is also a sofa bed.
The quiet master bedroom facing the inner courtyard has a queen size bed and a chest of drawers. There is also a plasma TV. The second bedroom has a large single bed. The spacious bathroom has a full-sized bath tub and a toilet. The laundry area is equipped with a washing machine and a dryer. Also the apartment has a second separate toilet.
About the Neighborhood
Montmartre combines the atmosphere of an old village with trendy shops and restaurants. Climbing up the hill, you will find many small streets with wonderful views of Paris, charming stairs, and small, gorgeous houses. Look for the Montmartre Vineyard and the Square "René Clement" where nature is purposely left alone to develop. Walk to "Place du Tertre" where artists will offer to draw your portrait. Going down "rue des Abbesses" you will discover shops, cafés, and clothing stores as well as "Rue Lepic" which is a nice market. Its Wine Shops, Cheese Shop was rated # 3 in France, and it also has Bakeries and Charcuteries. Subway Station "Abbesses," just down the apartment will lead you to the Center of Paris quickly: Champs-Elysées is only a 10 minute subway ride; Eiffel Tower 15 minutes as well as Le Marais, Les Halles; and finally Saint Germain is 20 minutes.
